HOW TO TEACH ENGLISH WITH TECHONOGY
Technology is becoming increasingly important in both our personal and professional lives. and our learners are using technology more and more. Yet teching programmes often ignore training in the use of Information and Communication Technology(ICT), and teachers are often far less skilled and knowledgeable than their own students when it comes to using current technology.
Although the use of ICT by language taeachers is still not widespread, the use of techonology in the classroom is becoming increadingly important. and it will become a normal part of ELT practice in the coming years. There are many reasons for this:
-Younger learners are growing up with technology, and it is a natural and integrates part of their lives.
-English as an international language, is being used in technological mediated contexts.
-The Internet offers excellent opportunities for colaboration and comunication between learners who are geographically dispersed.
-Technology offers new ways for practising language and assessing performance.
The contexts in wich teachers are working with technology can vary widely. Is very important that teachers and students could have the opportunity to do works using a computer because nowadays the use of technology in classroom or in other way should be natural as the use of books, pens or paper.
